Elegance and comfort
The TOUR captivates with the richness of its knit and the refinement of its clean lines.
Its straight cut ensures a natural and comfortable fit, whilst its lined V-neck elegantly enhances the neckline and lends itself equally well to being worn over a shirt or next to the skin.
The wide 7 cm ribbed trims harmoniously structure the silhouette and ensure excellent hold.
Easy to pair, it complements jeans, chinos or wool trousers equally well, for a naturally refined look.
The craftsmanship
Knitted in 4-ply, the cashmere reveals a generous, soft and particularly comfortable knit. This construction lends the TOUR a beautiful presence while preserving the suppleness and natural drape inherent to this exceptional material.
The making of the lined V-neck requires precise craftsmanship to achieve a perfectly balanced opening, a beautiful hold and an elegant finish.
The 7 cm ribbed trims at the cuffs and hem structure the silhouette and ensure a comfortable hold.
Every detail is crafted with care to preserve the balance of proportions and the quality of the drape.
The TOUR thus combines the richness of a 4-ply cashmere with a refined and timeless construction.
The First collection
The TOUR belongs to our First collection, a selection of styles crafted in limited runs from surplus new cashmere yarn, carefully sourced from specialist Nepalese spinning mills.
Since 2005, we have been working with our partners in Nepal, a country renowned for its ancestral expertise in working with cashmere and precious fibres.
We therefore purchase very small quantities of yarn, too limited to be used by manufacturers working in large runs, yet perfectly suited to our expertise in handmade, small-batch production.
These materials are transformed in our workshop in Nepal, where every piece is handmade, to the same standards of craftsmanship, finishing and quality control as the rest of our collections.
This approach allows us to give new purpose to existing yarns that might otherwise have gone unused, whilst offering cashmere creations at particularly considered prices.
This is what we at Mahogany call premium recycling: giving a new destination to new materials already available, by transforming them by hand into exclusive creations produced in small quantities.
