Vicuña is the ne plus ultra among luxurious fibres. The coat of this small animal is composed of an extremely fine fibre of just 12 microns! Among natural fibres, only silk is finer (it should be noted that vicuña is a wool). The fibre from this mythical animal is the warmest and softest of all. Finding pieces in this wool is very difficult, as its importation is rare. To our knowledge, there are only 2 other importers in Europe for this fibre.

Vicuña: The "wool of the gods"

It took us a year and a great deal of determination to succeed in importing this exceptional material. So exceptional that the Incas had already named it the "wool of the gods".
The animal providing the wool for your items men's vicuña was on the verge of extinction not long ago. In the time of the Incas, this mythical animal numbered more than one million. In the 1960s, fewer than 20,000 were recorded. Thanks to governmental and international measures introduced from the late 1970s onwards, the population of this small camelid has grown. Today there are 300,000, and this figure continues to rise. Only a few hundred pieces are imported worldwide each year.
