A refined line for an exceptional cashmere
The LINE-PREMIUM takes the minimalist spirit of our LINE style and crafts it in a particularly rare quality of cashmere.
Its straight cut naturally follows the silhouette and its crew neck retains all the simplicity of a great essential from the feminine wardrobe.
At the neckline, cuffs and base, the tubular edges of just 1 cm offer a particularly discreet finish. No detail draws attention away from the material: the fineness of the knit and the touch of the Premium cashmere become the true signatures of the piece.
What is Premium cashmere?
With our Premium collection, we have chosen a cashmere destined for lovers of the finest fibres.
It comes from the first combing of young goats and is distinguished notably by the exceptionally fine diameter of its fibres: 13 to 14 microns, compared with approximately 15.5 microns for a classic high-end cashmere and 16.5 to 17 microns for a standard cashmere.
The smaller the diameter of a fibre, the finer it is. This characteristic largely explains the particularly delicate sensation of softness that Premium cashmere offers against the skin.
A rare fibre
This fineness comes with an extremely limited yield.
A young goat yields only approximately 30 grams of this fibre, compared with 100 to 200 grams for an adult goat. The available volumes are therefore naturally very limited, which contributes to the rarity of this quality of cashmere.
The fibres used also have an average length of approximately 36 mm. A long, regular fibre yields a high-quality yarn and contributes to the regularity and hold of the knit.
A naturally exceptional whiteness
The cashmere used for our Premium collection is naturally of Extra White quality.
This natural whiteness is a true asset in the creation of colours: it allows particularly pure and luminous shades to be achieved without the need for prior bleaching, which could alter the fibre.
The colour can thus reveal its full subtlety on a naturally light base.
The craftsmanship
A fibre this fine demands particular care at every stage of its processing.
Knitted here in 2-ply, the Premium cashmere reveals a fine, light and exceptionally soft knit. The deliberately understated construction of the LINE-PREMIUM allows its qualities to be appreciated directly through touch.
The piece is crafted in our atelier to the exacting standards applied across our collections, with particular attention paid to the knitting, the finishes and the individual inspection of each piece.
